And once again 9.99 percent.

Vasyl and Yevhen Astion (Vasyl Astion and Yevhen Astion) each held shares in the bank Ukrainskyi Kapital through their own structures. At least that's how it appeared in earlier documents of the central bank NBU.

Today their names are missing.

The 9.99-percent question

Two shares, each just below the ten-percent threshold, above which separate approval from the Ukrainian National Bank NBU becomes necessary.

It would be obvious to interpret this as circumvention. Ukrainian law takes into account related and jointly acting persons. The earlier NBU documents themselves already listed the brothers as related persons.

The real question is not the structure of the shares but where they went.

The gap

Between the ownership record from 2020 and the current ownership reported to the National Bank, there is a missing documented intermediate stage.

Exactly when did the Astion shares disappear?

Who increased their share during the same period?

Through which transaction – with which NBU approval?

Three questions. So far no public answer.

By the way, the bank Ukrainskyi Kapital remains operationally active to this day and had deposits amounting to three billion hryvnia (UAH) in February 2026.

Where are the Astion brothers today?

The Astion brothers are no longer listed on the ownership list. Are they still in Ukraine?

Genesis Capital – the fund in which Vasyl and Yevhen Astion each hold a 50 percent stake – reported assets of over 2 billion UAH at the end of 2025.

In addition, there are holdings in Dnipro Agro, general management structures in the United Kingdom, and corporate service providers in Cyprus.

So there continues to be extensive business activity by the two men in Ukraine.

It remains unclear what transactions surrounded the change of ownership at the bank and the NBU approval, if one was required.

Without these three documents, it remains unclear how 19.98 percent became zero.

Derzeit werden die Bedeutung der Bank und der Transaktionen der Eigentümer im Kontext der „Forrest Gump“-Ermittlungen untersucht.

Source

https://m.antikor.info/en/articles/858742-genezis_kapital_kak_astiony_kontrolirovali_fond_s_aktivami_pochti_na_2_milliarda_griven

Für alle Beschuldigten und Betroffenen der „Forrest Gump“ Ermittlungen gilt die Unschuldsvermutung.

Ownership structures below statutory reporting thresholds are not, in themselves, proof of an intent to circumvent the law.

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[21,49

post-3669","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-investigativ","category-ukraine-osteuropa
["GET
