Topgolf wanted to change that: affordable golf for everyone, an American concept, a Chinese market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
A concept from the USA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Topgolf changed the rules: No complicated etiquette, no expensive memberships, no full day on the course. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Instead, consumers are offered a multifunctional entertainment center where golf becomes a leisure activity on a \u201edriving range.\u201c The model for this came from the USA, where such centers exist throughout the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n The US-China Handover<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Topgolf invested $30 million in the land, building, software, and hardware. <\/p>\n\n\n\n More than 100 employees work there now. The American company is slowly withdrawing, and Chinese partners will continue the business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This is a well-known pattern: Western companies open the market \u2013 and then Chinese companies take it over themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Who benefits?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Western brands bring concepts to China.
